Consecration
Lodge Mark Owen was consecrated in the Grand Lodge Room,on 30th May 1951, by the Grand Master, MW Bro Frank McDowell.
The Worshipful Master was assisted by five of his brothers who occupied the foundation officers for the first year.

Mark Owen
The late Worshipful Brother Mark Owen was the personification of brotherly love.
His whole character was marked by sincerity, integrity, sympathy, and understanding.
These qualities, together with his personal charm and friendliness, attracted a wide circle of friends and proved an inspiration to all who knew him.
His was an ideal home life, and the wonderful spirit present there seemed to extend to a broader family circle embracing all those with whom he came into contact.
It can be truly said of Mark Owen that kindness and brotherly affection always distinguished his conduct as a man and a mason.
